Ferrari Challenge APAC: Steve Wyatt and David Tjiptobiantoro victorious in Race 2 at Sepang

2nd November 2014 – The sixth and final round of the Asia Pacific Ferrari Challenge ended today at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia amidst good weather blessing both drivers and spectators alike. If the first race was exciting, the second was spectacular, with lots of wheel to wheel racing during the competition. There was fierce battle among the 22 cars in the field.

In the Pirelli classification of experienced drivers, the win went to Steve Wyatt from Australia, who started in pole position. He also took the race’s fastest lap in 2:14.756. Second was Philippe Prette from Hong Kong , closely followed home by Angelo Negro also from Hong Kong.

With the final round of the Ferrari Challenge happening in about a month’s time, Indonesia’s David Tjiptobiantoro was keen to continue his streak of winning in every destination. He took the victory in the Coppa Shell classification for the second time this weekend. He has headed the classification right from the start of the Asia Pacific series. Behind him was Philippines’ Vicente Floirendo and Paul van Loenhout from Australia in third place.

Ferrari Finali Mondiali will take place at Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina Circuit from 3rd to 6th December. The 458 Challenge EVO cars will be back on track for the Prancing Horse's traditional end-of-season celebration, which will mark the World Finals' first foray outside European soil.
