Record number of over 750 Ferrari cars and over 1,700 owners and partners participated during 2 days making new record of attendees ever in Fuji
Latest supercar LaFerrari made its first public appearance on circuit in Japan
Ferrari official GT driver Giancarlo Fisichella joined the event as a Guest of Honour


Tokyo, 14th September 2014 – Ferrari Japan hosted Ferrari Racing Days Fuji 2014 for Ferrari owners and fans across Japan from September 13th to 14th for two days at Fuji Speedway.

A huge crowd of Ferrari tifosi joined the second day of the Ferrari festival on a sunny weekend, enjoying the excitement of the day, and the record number of owners and partners reached over 1,700 people over the two-day event at Ferrari Racing Days Fuji 2014. An impressive and also a record number of over 750 Ferraris gathered at one of the famous Formula 1 Grand Prix circuit, Fuji Speedway, where owners enjoyed driving behind the wheel of their own Ferraris. It was truly an exciting experience for all Ferrari fans of Japan.

As part of the corporate initiatives to boost and to share the passion of Ferrari and the excitement of the motorsports culture with local area and the next generation, 40 elementary school children from Oyamacho of Shizuoka prefecture received a special invitation to participate in the event. Ferrari Japan Managing Director Reno De Paoli conducted a special class to the children, hearing out questions and requests directly from them and shared the brand story as well as history of Ferrari. Children were encouraged to experience the real enthusiasm of motorsports in Circuit Safari, another special programme offered where they were guided to the circuit on a bus to watch supercars in action at a close distance.

On track, visitors saw another exciting race of the fifth round of Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Asia Pacific in Race 2. A hot battle among the Challenge drivers got the attention of fans at the grandstand with more people indulging themselves within the world of motorsports, the very DNA of the Ferrari brand. Former F1 driver and a current Ferrari official GT driver Giancarlo Fisichella got behind the wheel of the latest Challenge machine 458 Challenge EVO and performed fabulous driving techniques to add excitement to the race.
LaFerrari made its first public appearance on circuit in Japan both at the exhibition booth and on track and many of the fans and tifosi could not hide their excitement with cameras on hands. In addition, the F1 circuit run shook the whole site with dramatic exhaust notes and speeds from the F1 machines. Attendees of the event also enjoyed experiencing the world of Ferrari through various programmes such as XX Programme, Sports Drive, Enjoy Drive and many others.

Also “Shell V-Power EXCITING CHAMPIONSHIP”, hosted by Showa Shell Oil, commemorating the Japan launch of new high octane gasoline by Showa Shell Oil “Shell V-Power” took place, . 35,119 people participated in the online campaign whose winners competed in the semi-final and final match at Fuji Speedway with Giancarlo Fisichella, which added another excitement to the event.
