Scarperia, 13 July - The third round of the Italian GT Championship, staged this weekend at the Mugello circuit, ended with a fantastic finish for Ferrari, with its cars occupying the top two steps of the podium. In Race 2 in the GT3 category, the Ferrari 458 Italia of Alessandro Pier Guidi and Luigi Lucchini entered by BMS Scuderia and the crew of Raffaele Giammaria and Lorenzo Casè (Scuderia Baldini 27) were first and second respectively, beating the Porsche 997 of Robert Renauer and René Bordeaux.
In the GT Cup category, victory went to the Porsche of Luca Rangoni and Massimo Omar Galbiati. The Easy Race team Ferrari of Steven Goldstein and Daniel Mancinelli came home fifth.
The next round takes place from 29 to 31 August at the Paul Ricard circuit at Le Castellet in France.
