Ferrari Challenge APAC Prette and Tjiptobiantoro do it again

Sydney, 12 April – Race 1 of the Sydney round of the Ferrari Challenge excited and delighted visitors at Ferrari Racing Days today. The Ferrari APAC Challenge was led by Max Blancardi from Italy in the Pirelli Pro classification who took the chequered flag in Race 1 of the Trofeo Pirelli, finishing with an impressive racing time of 25:25:582, with his fastest lap coming in at 1:32:892.

The Trofeo Pirelli classification, the most important category in the APAC series, saw Hong Kong driver Philippe Prette taking the honours in Race 1 with a racing time of 25:39:880, crossing the finish just ahead of Steve Wyatt from Australia who took second spot with 4.5 seconds behind. Ringo Chong from Singapore took third spot with a 16.3 seconds delay.

In the Coppa Shell, Race 1 saw an exciting battle of skilful manoeuvring. David Tjiptobiantoro from Indonesia took victory with a racing time of 25:49:655 beating Australia’s Pal Van Loenhout and Vicente Floirendo from the Philippines. It’s interesting to note that the winners of Sydney’s Race 1 were exactly the winners of Race 1 in Sepang, Round 1 of the series. Tomorrow there’s another thrilling race to see.
