A Filipino in the Ferrari Challenge

Manila, 13 February - Vincent Floirendo will be the first citizen of the Philippines to race in the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli. The 46 year old businessman, who comes from the city of Davao on the island of Mindanao, is a well known name on the Asian racing scene. He was driver of the year in the Filipino GT Championship in 2011 and 2012.

He will make his debut next weekend at Sepang (Malaysia,) where from 21 to 23 February, the first of the Corse Clienti department’s 2014 Ferrari Racing Days will take place. The event will feature the first round of the Asia Pacific series of the Prancing Horse’s one-make championship, now in its twenty second year.

Floirendo will race a 458 Evoluzione entered by Autostrada Motore, the Maranello marque’s importer and official distributor in the Philippines.
