Austin, 18 November –The curtain has come down on the Texan Ferrari Challenge North America weekend, a non-championship event which saw no less than 32 458 Challenge cars tackle the Circuit of the Americas. The second leg of this amazing event, running as a support race to the nineteenth round of the Formula 1 World Championship saw the same three drivers on the podium as the one after yesterday’s race.
Emmanuel Anassis won again for Ferrari Quebec, while second place went to Mark McKenzie in the Ferrari of Houston car, getting the better of yesterday’s runner-up, Alex Popow driving for Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale. Competitors in the Stars ‘n Stripes series now head for Valencia which hosts the Ferrari Finali Mondiali over the weekend of 2 December, the traditional end of season event in which they will fight for the world title with competitors in the European and Asia Pacific series.
